2019 UBC Summer Elementary School Tournament

On May 11th, 2019, Vancouver Debate Academy’s youngest students competed in the annual UBC Elementary School Tournament. In the weeks leading up to the tournament, debaters and coaches alike worked tirelessly to prepare. Nerves were high as the young competitors ventured out to what is for some, their first debate tournament. Their efforts were well rewarded when our students won a plethora of awards across team, speaker, and division. A huge congratulations to Sam Yan and Frank Yan, finalists of the tournament as well as all of our wonderful speakers for their achievements.

All our young debaters performed exceptionally and we are proud of them all. They’ve gained valuable experience and we can’t wait to see what’s to come! As they grow, we may have the new generation of VDA’s best and brightest in front of us!
