2022 Middle School Tournament of Champion

While students were still immersed in joy of their high school TOC championship win two weeks ago, VDA’s junior high students gave us an even bigger surprise at the TOC Junior High School Division, which just ended last weekend! VDA led 7 teams to the TOC Junior Division, and each team made it to the elimination rounds and won an award! Among them, Annie Zhao & Bonnie Li won the Top 4 in the Open Group, breaking the record of the best result obtained by an international team and a Canadian team in the TOC competition! Vivian Lang & Xiaobo Zeng won the top 8 in the open category and Alvin Cheng & Zena Su and Jason Zhou & Ken Wu tied for the top spot in the international category!

It is worth mentioning that Biranna Tang & Benjamin Han, who won the top 8 in the international group, are only 11 years old and in the 6th grade, but they are not afraid to face the older and more experienced debaters in the junior high school group. Much talent and potential can be seen on this 2 young stars, much more awards await in the foreseeable future!
