2018 Lower Mainland West (LMW) Regionals

Here at Vancouver Debate Academy, we work hard to get our students ready for debate tournaments. Our students are hardworking and always make us proud. Frequently, they perform to an exceptional standard and we want to take this moment to applaud all of our students. YAY TEAM!

At the Lower Mainland West Regionals, our VDA students again did a great job and deserve congratulations. Their focus, determination, and strong skill-set served them well; students from Vancouver Debate Academy took home awards in several categories.

At the Junior level, Ellen Li’s hard work paid off with her receiving 9th place speaker overall. Judy Jiang took home an award for 13th place, and Tom Chen received 16th. As there were 60 speakers overall, we feel proud of all of them — they did a great job!

In teams our students also placed well. In the Juniors categories, Judy and her partner (from St. John’s School) placed 4th and will be heading to the Provincials. Tom and Alan received an award for 7th team, and will proceed to Provincials as well. Our Senior student, Bobo Wong, and her partner will also be moving into the Provincials.
