Berkeley Invitational
The VDA debate team delivered an impressive performance at the prestigious Berkeley Invitational Tournament! In the JV division, Evan Guo & Luella Zhang advanced to the Quarterfinals (Top 8), with Luella Zhang earning the 19th Best Speaker award and Jadon securing the 38th Best Speaker award in the same division. Their dedication and teamwork shone brightly throughout the competition.
In the Varsity division, Apollin Lu & Joshua Zhou made it to the Double-Octafinals (Top 32) and earned a Silver Bid, a remarkable achievement in such a competitive field. Additionally, Joshua Zhou was recognized as the 7th Best Speaker, while Apollin Lu claimed the 24th Best Speaker award, showcasing their exceptional individual skills.
