2024 Georgetown Fall

Over the weekend, Vancouver Debate Academy battled it out at the Georgetown Fall Tournament. We had seven teams competing across two divisions at the tournament, and are so excited to share our results with you!

Starting with Speaker Awards, a big congratulations to Yannie Ye for receiving 30th speaker out of 176, putting them in the top 20% of speakers! Excellent job!

For the competition proper, congratulations to the Team of Yannie Ye and Iona Jiang for advancing to Double-Octos! This team worked hard inside and outside of class to learn their strategies and practice their skills. We are very proud of you two!

This upcoming weekend, we will be competing at the Harvard Council International Tournament. Opportunities for this topic are running out fast! We will start our prep on the November and December topic soon; don’t miss out!
