2018 Lower Mainland East (LME) Regionals

Vancouver Debate Academy students performed exceptionally as the LME Regionals this month, taking home awards in all 3 categories; several students made it into the Provincials. In the Novice category, Stuti Sharma and Cheryl Chen made it into the Top 3 as a team and will be participating in the Provincials; Sharma won 5th Top Speaker, and Chen took 6th Top Speaker.

For the Juniors, Sunny Hou won for 6th Top Speaker. Rebecca Amisano was 8th, and will be participating in the Provincials. Sunnie Li took home 9th Top Speaker.

And, in the Seniors category, we also had some strong showings. Charles Liu was 7th Top Speaker, and with Peter Jiang won for 2nd Top Team; they will be heading into the Provincials. Jenny Mei took 11th Top Speaker, and will be going to the Provincials with Tracie to participate as a senior team.

All teams and speakers did well and we’re proud of all our students at Vancouver Debate Academy for their hard work. Great job debaters!
