Introduction :
I love debate because it combines writing, speaking, and research skills in a very unique way. At its best, debate is a fantastic way to engage with concepts students would not otherwise would be exposed to, and it teaches them skills that help them succeed in contexts far beyond debate. I love coaching for that reason; my goal is to impart skills that help students both win debate rounds and succeed in their lives beyond debate, and I believe that those skills are incredibly aligned.
