Benjamin Hagwood
Coach
Hi, my name is Benjamin, I think debate is a vehicle that helps you navigate the world. I coach debate because I enjoy exploring curiosity of thoughts and perspectives but most of all because I love games! Debate is a game of exploring different perspectives and challenging whether they offer the best answer to the question or problem submitted!
That is what makes coaching and teaching debate so fun! No matter the challenge we can work towards finding a great solution.
Students in my classes can expect to laugh, learn and lead! I bring the energy and entertainment to ensure that you stay locked in. You will learn through skill development and practice! You will lead class through participation as debate is active not passive! Teaching debate means listening to you find your voice and guiding you towards the best version of yourself! We will get there together and I can’t wait to get started!
