2024 HS TOC

Last week, the HSTOC (High School Tournament of Champions) at the University of Kentucky concluded. Elite debaters from around the world gathered to compete for the top title. Vancouver Debate Academy (VDA) once again shined on the global stage, showcasing Canada’s brilliance.

This year, VDA sent 8 debaters participated in HS TOC. Nikki Zheng and Wayne Liang made it to the top 16 globally, proving their remarkable skills in fierce competition. They truly stood out as rising stars on the debate stage!

Additionally, Annie & Serena, Yannie & Sophia, and Clair & Flora delivered outstanding performances. Annie and Serena secured the 28th and 34th spots for Best Speaker Awards. For their first time competing at the high school TOC, their achievements are impressive. VDA is incredibly proud of all the students, and we look forward to continuing the fight for the championship next season!
