A New Program In Store

VDA now offers students the opportunity to receive school credit!

Vancouver Debate Academy (VDA) is proud to announce that students in Grades 9 and above who enroll in our debate classes can now receive elective credits towards their graduation requirements!

How does it work?

Vancouver Debate Academy, in partnership with Heritage Christian Online School, is now offering our Debate courses approved for BC Ministry of Education credit beginning May 2020. With spoken and written assignments, in-class feedback, and personal evaluations, Vancouver Debate Academy’s students are assessed on performance and knowledge, just as in any other class. Each term is worth two credits towards graduation, and students can complete six terms of debate for a total of twelve elective credits! Students will receive end-of-term report cards formatted much as any other elective class in a public school.

Best of all?

There are no additional fees for students *residing in BC.

Please note: VDA is required to fairly and responsibly assess students registered in this course. Students are required to take this program seriously and must meet the requirements and complete the work to attain high scores.
